The Automotive Differential Carrier Housing is a precision structural component that encloses and supports the differential gear assembly, transmitting torque from the driveshaft to the axle shafts while allowing wheels to rotate at different speeds during turns. This component operates under high torque loads, continuous gear meshing forces, and lubrication immersion, requiring exceptional material strength, dimensional precision, and surface integrity.
Ningbo Ruican manufactures differential carrier housings using the silica sand casting process, which achieves the complex internal cavity geometry needed for gear accommodation, bearing seat alignment, and lubrication channel integration. The sand casting process produces near-net-shape parts that minimize machining stock, reduce material waste, and lower per-unit cost compared to fully machined billet alternatives.
Post-casting, each housing is machined on 5-axis CNC MACHINING centers with in-process probing to ensure bearing seat concentricity, ring gear mounting flatness, and bolt circle positional accuracy. Our IATF 16949 system governs the entire production process, with statistical process control (SPC) on critical dimensions, PPAP Level 3 submission capability, and full material traceability for automotive OEM and Tier 1 supplier requirements.
