Key features
- Single-piece casting carries the counterweight mass and the gantry interface, avoiding bolted assemblies that can loosen under orbital motion.
- Cast weight pockets and ribbed sections let mass be tuned to the balance requirement without adding loose plates.
- Machined mounting faces and bore centers held to +/-0.1 mm so the C-arm tracks smoothly through its orbital range.
- AISI 316L resists the cleaning agents used around imaging equipment and will not stain or rust in service.
- Stress relieving before finish machining keeps the part dimensionally stable after roughing.
- Dye penetrant inspection on load-bearing sections with radiographic testing available for critical zones.
- Cast-in lifting and handling bosses available to simplify subassembly on the customer line.
Applications
- Mobile C-arm gantry counterweight and balance brackets
- Fluoroscopy and surgical imaging arm structures
- X-ray tube head and detector mounting yokes
- Mobile CT and ultrasound cart counterweight frames
- Refurbishment spare parts for installed imaging fleets
- Vibration and balance test rigs for imaging equipment development
Quality & compliance
Ningbo Ruican is not an ISO 13485 registered contract manufacturer; parts are delivered under the customer’s Quality Agreement with project-level ISO 13485 documentation covering material certification, heat treatment charts, NDT results and dimensional layout reports for each lot. Our medical material experience covers 17-4PH H900/H1025, AISI 420 and AISI 316L, with ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity data supplied when the customer specifies the protocol. Process capability studies are available for critical mounting dimensions before series release.
FAQ
Q1. How large a casting can you produce for imaging equipment?
Brackets in this range are typically 1.2 to 4.8 kg with wall sections from 5 mm. Send the model and we will review gating, shrinkage and machining stock before quoting.
Q2. Can you tune the bracket mass to our balance calculation?
Yes. We adjust pocket depth and add cast-in mass features so the finished part meets your target weight within the agreed tolerance, verified piece by piece.
Q3. Do you offer radiographic testing on large brackets?
Yes. Dye penetrant is standard on load-bearing areas and X-ray or radiographic testing can be added for critical sections to the acceptance level you specify.
Q4. How is dimensional stability handled on a part this size?
We rough machine, stress relieve, then finish machine, and we measure key datums before and after to confirm stability; results are included in the inspection report.
Q5. What is the lead time for a bracket of this scale?
Roughly 5-7 weeks for tooling and first article because the tooling and gating are larger, then 4-6 weeks for production depending on quantity and NDT scope.
