Key features
- Heat-resistant austenitic stainless microstructure retains yield strength above 600 C, resisting creep and scaling in continuous turbo duty cycles.
- Silica sol shell casting holds the 2.5-4.0 mm bracket walls and integrally cast pivot boss without weld-on fabrications.
- CNC machined actuator rod bore finished to H7 with 1.6 um Ra to protect the rod seal from scoring over the full stroke.
- Datum-controlled machining scheme locks bore-to-flange perpendicularity within 0.05 mm, preserving wastegate linkage geometry.
- Cast-in stiffening ribs raise first natural frequency above 350 Hz to avoid resonance with engine order excitation.
- Fully radiused fillets at the arm-to-flange junction cut stress concentration and extend thermal fatigue life.
- Passivation per ASTM A967 delivers consistent corrosion resistance for under-hood salt spray exposure.
Applications
- Passenger car and light truck turbocharger wastegate actuator mounting
- Commercial vehicle diesel turbo actuator supports
- Variable geometry turbo (VGT) actuator brackets
- Motorsport and performance turbo conversion kits
- Marine and industrial turbocharger assemblies
- Aftermarket turbo rebuild and service programmes
Quality & compliance
Every batch is produced under our IATF 16949 certified quality management system, with APQP gate reviews and PPAP level 3 documentation available on request, including DFMEA and PFMEA, control plan, MSA studies, full dimensional reports, EN 10204 3.1 material certification, heat treat charts and the signed PSW. IMDS entries are submitted on request, and each part carries a heat lot code giving full traceability from melt to final inspection.
FAQ
Q1. What information do you need to quote a wastegate actuator bracket?
Send a 3D model or 2D drawing with material grade, annual volume, heat treatment and surface specification. If you only have a sample part, we can reverse engineer it by 3D scanning and return a drawing for your approval before tooling.
Q2. Can you match an existing bracket currently made from fabricated steel?
Yes. We regularly convert welded assemblies into single investment castings, which removes weld distortion, reduces part count and improves dimensional repeatability across production batches.
Q3. How do you control the actuator rod bore position?
The bore is machined in a dedicated fixture located off the primary datums defined on your drawing, then verified on a CMM with a full positional tolerance report included in the PPAP submission.
Q4. Do you supply prototypes before production tooling?
We produce prototype brackets with rapid tooling or 3D printed wax patterns, letting you validate fit and function while the production die is still being built.
Q5. What is your typical lead time?
Prototype parts ship in roughly 25-30 days. Production tooling is completed in about 30-35 days, with first article and PPAP samples following roughly two weeks later.
Q6. What are your minimum order quantities?
Prototype programmes start from 5-10 pieces. Series production normally begins at 500 pieces per order, and we hold consignment stock for released automotive programmes.
