The pedal box pivot bracket carries every input the driver makes into the brake, clutch or parking-brake system, and it must do so without measurable deflection over the life of the vehicle. Ningbo Ruican investment casts and CNC machines this bracket to your print, holding pivot bore position and pedal-stop geometry so pedal travel, effort curve and switch timing stay inside the validated window from the first part to the thousandth.

Key features
- Pivot bore and pedal-stop faces machined in one setup, holding positional tolerance within 0.05 mm.
- Cast-in switch and sensor mounting pads remove secondary brackets and the fasteners that loosen with them.
- Stiffening ribs placed by finite-element review to hold pedal deflection under a 2,500 N emergency stop.
- Bore finish of Ra 0.8 um extends bush life and keeps pedal effort consistent across temperature extremes.
- Deburred to a defined edge-break standard so harnesses and return springs cannot chafe.
- E-coat, zinc-nickel or powder-coat finishes supplied to your corrosion specification.
Applications
- Passenger car and light commercial vehicle brake pedal modules
- Truck and coach foot-brake and clutch pedal boxes
- Electronic parking-brake and foot-operated parking-brake assemblies
- Bus and coach driver cockpits with adjustable pedal carriers
- Agricultural tractor and construction machine pedal consoles
- Motorsport and special-vehicle pedal conversions with bespoke pivot geometry
Quality & compliance
Ningbo Ruican manufactures pedal box pivot brackets under IATF 16949 with a full APQP sequence and PPAP submission at level 3 or 4. Each submission carries EN 10204 3.1 material certification with heat-lot traceability, full dimensional reporting against ballooned drawings, capability studies on the pivot bore and stop-face position, and coating verification. Functional validation including pedal deflection under emergency-stop load, cyclic pedal-effort endurance, and salt-spray exposure to ISO 9227 is carried out on request, with gauge R&R completed on any customer-specific fixture before production sign-off.
FAQ
Which pedal systems is this bracket used in?
The bracket is used in foot-brake, clutch and foot-operated parking-brake pedal boxes across passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and coaches. We work to your pedal module drawing and pivot geometry, so the same programme can cover a manual clutch carrier and an electronic parking-brake release bracket with different bore and stop configurations.
Can you hold the pivot bore position accurately enough for pedal travel specs?
Yes. We establish datums on the mounting faces and machine the pivot bore, stop faces and clevis slot in one 4-axis setup, holding position within 0.05 mm. Capability studies on those characteristics are included in the PPAP package so your travel and switch-timing validation stays valid across the production run.
What materials do you recommend for a truck pedal bracket?
For truck and coach pedal boxes we usually recommend 42CrMo or S355 carbon steel for stiffness and abuse resistance, with stainless 304 or 316 where the bracket sits in a corrosive under-dash or floor-mounted environment. Aluminium A356-T6 is available where pedal module mass is a programme target.
Do you supply a machined and coated bracket ready to fit?
We can. Standard supply is fully machined, deburred to your edge-break specification and finished in e-coat, zinc-nickel or powder coat, then packed to your line-side packaging standard. We can also deliver a semi-machined variant if you prefer to finish the bore at your own assembly plant.
How do you validate fatigue life?
We run cyclic endurance testing on the pedal assembly or a representative rig, loading through the pivot at the emergency-stop force and cycle count you specify. Results are reported with stiffness traces before and after cycling, and any crack initiation is investigated with magnetic particle inspection before the design is signed off.
