Key features
- Accurate blade seat geometry keeps the cutting clearance constant and extends blade life.
- Thick section casting with controlled feeding eliminates shrinkage in the jaw and pivot area.
- Quenched and tempered alloy steel with optional localized induction hardening on wear faces.
- Bolt holes and threaded clamping holes machined to gauge, ready for assembly on your line.
- Cast-in relief pockets reduce weight without losing stiffness in the load path.
- Interchangeable with your existing holder design from drawing or reverse engineered sample.
- Surface protection options including manganese phosphate, black oxide or painted finish.
Applications
- Hydraulic guillotine and plate shears for steel service centres.
- Scrap processing shears and baler shear jaws.
- Demolition excavator shears and concrete pulverizer jaws.
- Rebar and bar cutting machines.
- Slitting line and coil processing shear blocks.
- Forestry and recycling shear attachments.
Quality and compliance
Shear blade holders are built under an IATF 16949 certified quality system with full heat lot traceability from melt to finished part. EN 10204 3.1 certificates cover chemical and mechanical results, and a first-article inspection report with complete dimensional layout, hardness map and magnetic particle inspection records is provided before series release. Gauge and fit checks against your sample blade can be included in the first-article package.
FAQ
Q: Can you match an existing holder from a sample?
A: Yes, we reverse engineer from a sample using 3D scanning, produce a drawing for your approval, and then build production tooling.
Q: What hardness do you recommend for cold plate shearing?
A: Quench and temper to 38 to 42 HRC is typical for cold shearing, with induction hardened seat edges where blade contact wear is the limiting factor.
Q: Do you supply matching blades?
A: We focus on the holder and seat castings, and we can source and fit test blades from qualified partners if you prefer a complete assembly.
Q: How is blade seat accuracy verified?
A: Seat width, depth and flatness are measured on a CMM and verified with a physical fit check using a master or customer supplied blade.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: There is no strict minimum, and we support prototype and spare part quantities as well as series production, with pricing scaled to annual volume.
