Manufacturing Process

  1. Wax Pattern Injection: Liquid wax injection with steel dies, conical tip formed to ±0.05mm
  2. Shell Building: 7–9 layer ceramic shell with fused silica primary coat for superior surface finish
  3. Dewaxing & Firing: Autoclave dewaxing at 8 bar, shell firing at 950°C
  4. Pouring: 17-4 PH stainless steel poured at 1560–1600°C under argon shroud
  5. Solution Treatment: 1040°C for 1 hour, air cooled
  6. Precipitation Hardening (H1025): 550°C for 4 hours, air cooled
  7. CNC Machining: CNC turning of thread (M16 x 1.5), conical seat (20° included angle, Ra 0.4), and stem guide
  8. Surface Treatment: Electropolishing or passivation per ASTM A967
  9. Inspection: CMM dimensional, surface roughness, dye penetrant, hardness test
